Mavics Global announced the ‘Ganjoar’ concert at Hatirjheel Amphitheater in Dhaka. The organizers informed about the change of venue before the event. It is known that the concert will be held in the auditorium of the Liberation War Museum, not the Hatirjheel amphitheater. Bands Nemesis, Cryptic Fate, Avoid Rafa, Bay of Bengal, Coincidence, Conclusion and many others were supposed to perform in it. But when there was chaos at one stage of the program, the arrangement was cancelled. Johad Roza Chowdhury of the band Nemesis said so in a Facebook post.
Nemesis is celebrating 25 years since its founding. The band has performed songs on many stages of the country and abroad. But they said that the incident that the band faced on Friday, did not happen in professional music. Bands like Nemesis, Cryptic Fate, Avoid Rafa, Bay of Bengal, Kaktal, Conclusion and others were supposed to perform at the Ganajoa concert.

‘Ganjoar’ is organized by Mavics Global. The organizers had earlier informed that the people of the country are going through a difficult time due to various incidents, starting from the anti-discrimination movement of students, the fall of the dictator, sudden floods. Due to various reasons, no major music event has been possible for a long time. The few concerts that have been held in between are for the relief collection and rehabilitation of Banvasi people. Hopefully, the situation in the country is normal now. People’s expectations have been met. All in all, they have organized this concert for the music lovers with the dream of new Bangladesh.
They also expressed hope that ‘Ganj oar’ will be a memorable event for rock lovers. But in Zohad’s words, it was not possible in the end.

Johad wrote on his Facebook, ‘Today’s concert was going well. At the Cryptic Fate stage, a group of 20-30 people suddenly broke the gate of the Liberation War Museum and entered. What happened then, you can understand. The concert was cancelled. We couldn’t perform at the Nemesis, Avoid Rafa show.’
This has happened in several concerts before. Therefore, referring to those incidents, Zohad wrote on Facebook, “This is the only thing that has been happening in the past few concerts. Who are they? Do they really come to listen to the music or are they very pre-planned to put on a show?’
Referring to the organizers and the attendees, Johad wrote, “It feels very bad for the organizers, they took enough measures to prevent such a thing from happening. It feels bad for those who bought tickets and enjoyed the show.
Finally, Zohad expressed surprise and wrote, ‘What started it? Having been playing music for 25 years, I have never faced such an experience in my life. And these experiences come in 2024? The saddest and most depressing thing is that those who do it, get away with it. There is no remedy. I don’t know what will happen next, but I do know that the law-and-order situation will have to be brought under control very soon. Today they are attacking concerts, tomorrow they can attack any event. The people of Bangladesh are crazy about music, we know very well that music will never stop in this country.
